OUTFIT OF THE DAY | Transitioning From Summer To Fall...

Today, I have a quick outfit of the day to show you guys! The past few weeks have been crazy for me. I moved back to my college town to start my second year of school and I had a few other big life changes that I've been dealing with. I apologize that posts have not been regular and I'm not going to make any promises but I really am trying to get back on a schedule!

I want to start doing more outfit of the day posts. Sometimes I'll wear an outfit I really like and want to share, but there's no specific reason for me to post it or it doesn't fit the theme I'm going for with my blog posts. So these outfit of the day posts will sometimes just be little bonuses in addition to my main post for the week. This post actually is going to be the main post for the week, but in the future if I share an outfit of the day, it will be more of a bonus.

The past few weeks have been a transitional period for me. The seasons are no exception! The weather where I live has been beautiful, fluctuating between 60-80 degrees. For me this means that I get to pair more cold weather clothing items with warm weather clothing items, which is my ideal outfit situation. In my opinion, it doesn't get much better than shorts and a sweater.

For this outfit, I chose to pair this adorable overall dress that I usually wear with a crop top in the summer, with a light weight turtleneck and booties. Pairing this overall dress with the turtleneck gives the outfit a 60s pinafore vibe, in my opinion. Because it was still decently warm this day, I kept my legs bare and chose a pair of brown lace up ankle boots. This is a perfect example of a summer to fall transitional outfit.

Let me know if you enjoy this type of casual outfit posts! On a side note, can we talk about how I took these pictures in my backyard?! Wild sunflowers and wood fencing? Yes please. It's a blogger's dream, or at least it's mine!

What is your go-to summer to fall outfit? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading!
