TRAVEL DIARY | Crazy Las Vegas Bachelorette Party + Swimsuit Wedding!

I'm so excited to share this travel diary on here! My cousin got married in September and I was a bridesmaid and it was such a fun experience. My cousin is a bit nontraditional in the best way, so her and her now husband decided to do a swimsuit wedding at a fancy casino pool in Las Vegas. We're from Las Vegas, so it wasn't anything too out of the ordinary!

I actually vlogged both weekends, the bachelorette party and the wedding, so I'm going to insert that video below. It's my first ever vlog and I'm really proud of it! I know I have a lot to work on, but I love learning and I'm so excited to keep making vlogs and getting better. It would mean a lot to me if you could check it out and give any feedback.

So for the rest of this post, I'm going to insert a few pictures I personally snapped over the two weekends as well as a few that were taken by other guests or the two photographers, who I will make sure to credit at the end of this post. Along with the pictures, I'll share some of my favorite moments.

The first weekend was the bachelorette party. We stayed in a hotel at the luxor and hung out on the strip both days. The first night, we dressed up pin up style because my cousin, Kara, is a pin up model. We went to a concert and out for dinner which was so fun.

The next day, Saturday, we spent the afternoon at a private pool at the MGM and then we went to dinner at the best restaurant at the Mandalay Bay. It's an affordable Mexican restaurant with a mariachi band and the best margaritas. After dinner, everyone else went clubbing, but I had to skip that part because I'm not 21 yet.

Then on Sunday, we had the bridal shower, which was so fun. It was more casual and we all hung out and opened presents and played typical bridal shower games and ate yummy food.

The next weekend was the actual wedding!!! My boyfriend, Taylor, came with me this weekend because he was my date. The first night was the rehearsal dinner at an amazing sushi place and we were able to get all dressed up, which I loved, since we wouldn't be getting dressed up for the actual wedding.

That night, we stayed in the hotel where the wedding took place, we had an amazing suite, it was so fun and fancy. The next day, we woke up bright and early to get ready for the wedding ceremony at 11. We all had these fancy bridesmaid bikinis and Kara wore the most beautiful white swimsuit and lacy robe. Everyone looked so great!

After the ceremony, which you can watch in the video above, the rest of the wedding was basically a big party! There was lots of swimming and drinking and crazy shenanigans. Kara had a photobooth with a polaroid camera that we could take pictures and put them in the photo album "guest book." My best friend, Leonor, was also there at the wedding, so I spent most of the day with her and Taylor, when I wasn't on bridesmaid duty.

The party lasted pretty much all day and all night! Taylor and I went back to the hotel a little early since we weren't drinking and couldn't party as hard as everyone else. The next morning, Taylor and I went to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas and then drove back to Utah!

These two weekends were a whirlwind of craziness and lots of fun. I'm so glad my cousin chose me as a bridesmaid and that I got to be apart of it. I'm so happy for my cousin and her new husband, they are so good together. It was a weekend full of family and friend love and it was very special.

Before ending this post, I just wanted to share a little bit of my feelings on the recent Las Vegas Mass Shooting. The wedding took place the weekend before it happened and I was born and raised in Las Vegas, so it hit me very hard and was way too close to home. I'm not going to go too much into detail here, but if you read my youtube video description, I share my personal feelings on the tragedy and why I still feel it is appropriate to post about good things that happen in Las Vegas. I also share some links on how to help. Definitely go check that out. Even if you don't watch my video, I definitely poured my heart into the description.

What is your most fun memory from a wedding or bachelorette party? Have you ever attended any non traditional weddings? Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading!
